I was raised Baptist in Texas. As I grew older, I realized I didn’t agree with everything that was part of that denomination. I went on to experience different denominations and other practices. I came to the realization that I don’t agree with everything in each denomination or practice, therefore I don’t really associate with any denomination. I am a solitary practitioner. I do believe that we should love one another and be kind to everyone. As long as we treat everyone with love, kindness, and respect and also offer assistance to those in need then we doing our compassionate duty in life.

The Calling:


I have always been a firm believer in giving of myself to help others. Having been a member of other organizations where I could give back to my community has been a part of my life. Raising money and doing community service is great, but I wanted to do more. After meeting the Sister, and seeing what they were about and I decided that this was the organization for me to do what I could in life. It’s not about me, but what I can do to give to the community

the Nuns of Texas raise Money to support the Queer community. This money is used to provide safer sex education to the community, to advocate for political action in Austin, and to support the numerous 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 organizations that provide services to the queer community.
